We always pay for scrap cars by bank transfer. The Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 makes it illegal for scrap metal dealers and collectors to pay cash. A bank transfer is safer for you and creates a clear record of the sale.

Licensed and legal

We hold a waste carrier licence and a scrap metal collector's licence. Your vehicle goes to a licensed Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF). The ATF:

1. Issues a Certificate of Destruction.
2. Tells the DVLA the vehicle has been scrapped.
